PROJECT REDLINE: The map is a guide for those that are lost, curious, or looking for a little direction. If you are going the wrong way a map can be the unfortunate truth-teller. This project replaces the Red Line map with a different type of map. The first thirteen stops are replaced with politics or issues where Democrats and Republicans generally coincide or have an accord. When the map branches, the stop names are replaced with items where the parties diverge. For list of the real physical stops consult the MBTA website.

Map attack (The Boston Globe, December 26, 2004)

"Thanks again to the ne.transportation newsgroup for pointing out the following found early last week on Red Line car No. 01877:

Someone professionally covered up the Red Line strip map over the doorway with a pretty accurate replica. Same lettering, same map, but very different names with obvious political intent, we think.

Alewife was renamed Military. Davis Square was Healthcare. Porter was Prisons. Central Square was God. JFK/UMass was WTO/NAFTA.

And on the Ashmont branch, Mattapan was Rapture."
